Spelthorne K2

Groups

Spelthorne U3A K2 has more than 75 active groups covering about 60 separate interest areas. The groups are listed below and where there is more than one group covering the same topic, this is indicated by a number appearing after the group name.

Scroll down the page to view a list of all the groups or click here.

Each group has a specific group page that is reached by clicking on the group name from the list below. The group's page has details of the meeting times/venues and also provides a facility to email the Group Leader (just follow the instructions on the page). Sending an email is the best way to contact the Group Leader if you are interested in joining a group.

There is a handy summary of the various groups in the Table of Group Activities.

Further details of contacts and meeting places are published in the newsletter "K2 News". Members are all given a password and this enables them to view the Table of Group Activities with contact details. If you have forgotten the password, contact the Website Coordinator

A view of K2 Group Activities across a month can be seen by clicking on the link Monthly Group Activities Calendar

In order to join or remain in a group it is necessary to be a current SU3A K2 member. You can join us by visiting the Membership page

All groups are self financing and non profit-making. Some groups have a small annual membership fee to cover incidental expenses, whilst others charge for attendance at each meeting. Many group meetings are held in member’s houses and costs are therefore minimal whilst other groups who need to use rented premises include these costs in their attendance charge.

We are always keen to support the formation of new groups and there are a number of additional groups that could start if there is enough support and a leader (or leaders). Please click on Potential New Groups for more information. Ideas for new groups are always welcomed and if an Interest Group reaches full capacity, every effort is made to start an additional group. The Groups Coordinator will organise and help the setting up of any new or additional groups.

You can get in touch with the Groups Coordinator to discuss any matter relating to Interest Groups. Clicking on the blue text will open up a new screen and you can write and send your message from the screen.

Spelthorne U3A K2 has established close links with the Active Lifestyle programme run by Spelthorne Borough Council and information about the activities on offer can be obtained from the Groups Coordinator, or from the Council website.
