The Chepstow U3A Choir

Chepstow U3A Choir began in 1993 with about twenty members and we have now grown to thirty members. Our new Musical Director is Martin Pagnamenta who would describe himself as an enthusiastic but amateur musician and choir leader.

We perform five or six concerts twice a year at care homes in the Chepstow area: one summer and one Christmas programme plus two informal concerts for our friends and family at the Palmer Centre, along with concerts for the U3A Coffee Mornings. All U3A members are warmly invited to these events.

Our repertoire consists of songs from the shows, hymns, light classical pieces and well-known songs. We also encourage our members to perform solos if they feel confident to do so.

The group is caring and friendly and welcomes new members, particularly men!

We meet at The Palmer Community Centre in Place de Cormeilles, near the Town Arch in Chepstow every Tuesday from 2.45pm – 4.30pm including the first Tuesday of the month which, unfortunately, clashes with the monthly U3A meeting. However, we appreciate that members may well wish to attend the monthly U3A meeting.

U3A members interested in joining the Choir should contact Anne Davies by email: amcdavies@btinternet.com or by phone: 622970.
