Welcome to Warrington U3A
Warrington U3A is part of a UK-wide movement that brings together people to develop their interests in a friendly and informal environment. It’s all voluntary. U3A members draw upon their knowledge and experience to teach and learn from each other. There are no exams to pass, it is all just for pleasure. Learning is for its own sake with enjoyment being the prime motive, not qualifications or awards. We are one of over a thousand U3As across the UK, with thousands of interest groups between them and more than 425,000 members nationally.

Warrington U3A has around 1000 members and is home to over fifty activity groups covering many different subjects, from Art to Ukulele and everything in between. Members are not defined by a particular age; it is just that period after you have finished working full-time and are looking to get more out of life.
As well as interest groups, we also meet on the first Wednesday of most months at 2pm at Winmarleigh House, Winmarleigh Street, Warrington for our regular monthly General Meeting, enjoying a variety of interesting speakers, sharing a tea or coffee afterwards and catching up with friends. New or prospective members are invited to attend this very sociable event where they can meet the leaders of the various groups and perhaps join any that interest them.
How to become a Member
Our membership year starts in September and runs until the following August although you can join at any time. The annual fee is £35 per person (reducing to £15 for the part year after the 1st March). As Warrington U3A is a registered charity, please consider signing the Gift Aid declaration if you are a UK taxpayer.
The simplest method of joining is by using our on-line registration system and paying by credit or debit card. The payment system uses PayPal but you DO NOT need a PayPal account to use it. Simply select “Pay using Debit or Credit Card” when you get to the PayPal page.

After completion give the form together with the appropriate subscription to the Membership Secretary at one of our monthly meetings, or post them to the address shown on the form. Please make the cheque payable to WARRINGTON U3A.
If you wish to pay in two equal instalments then please send two cheques to the Registrar one dated currently and the other dated 1st February 2024 which will be banked next February.
Renewing your Membership

If you prefer to pay by cheque please make it payable to WARRINGTON U3A adding your Name(s) and Membership Number(s) on the reverse and posting it to "The Registrar, 30, Ackers Road, Stockton Heath, Warrington WA4 2BQ".
