A warm welcome and thank you for visiting the Retford U3A website.
Founded in May 2010, Retford U3A has more than 450 members supporting more than 40 Interest Groups. Click on the Groups tab, there’s bound to be something for almost everybody.
Our General Meetings are held monthly in The Well, Hospital Road, Retford on the fourth Thursday between 1.30 and 3.30pm and are open to everyone. Visitors and prospective members will find a warm welcome with guest speakers and performers from all over Britain, and our members get to socialise and share Retford U3A news.
There are also social events, study days, outings and holidays.
Join the Retford U3A! One-in-four of the population is in the third age! The first age refers to childhood and dependence, the second age to full-time employment and parental responsibilities and the third age is that which follows where one is retired, or partially retired. Anyone in the third age can join U3A.
The Third Age Trust is the national representative body for the U3A movement in the UK (Reg Charity No 288007).
